Organizing a sweet sixteen party for your daughter’s coming of age calls for more than just placing sixteen candles on top of a specially made cake. Aside from the cake and the singing of the happy birthday song, you can make your daughter’s celebration of her 16th birthday more special by involving things like sweet 16 party favors, custom designed invitations, and party activities honoring the birthday girl.
As every girl has her own unique personality, it is important to use her personality as a basis for the kind of sweet sixteen birthday party you will organize. If the girl is shy, it is not advisable to invite many people from her school and the entire family. It is wiser to just invite her closest friends, of course her best friend should be included, and some relatives who is also dear to her. Unless it is a surprise party, it is better to let the girl choose the people she wants to invite. The theme and decorations for the party should also match the girl’s personality. Again, if it is not a surprise party, you may opt to let your daughter enjoy the planning of her party.
You may also ask her guests to participate in the sweet sixteen candle lighting in honor of the girl. Guests may say something special about her and even say sweet messages.
